Film production is the process by which a film is created from start to finish. The process consists of three stages: pre-production, production and post-production. All stages must be carried out professionally and according to plan in order for the end result to be satisfactory.
How does the film production work?
Film production is a time-consuming process that is divided into several stages:
- The first and most important of these is pre-production, which includes the work involved in establishing all the important details of the film, such as the title, script, start and end dates for shooting, hiring filmmakers, calculating production costs, raising finance, casting and signing contracts.
- The second stage of production is cinematography, this is when we focus on shooting all the scenes with actors and extras. This is a very time-consuming stage, involving, in addition to the director and film producer, make-up artists, stylists, costume designers, set designers, editors and others.
- The final stage of film production is post-production, which is the final stage of work on a film. During this time we focus on editing the image, working on special effects, adding background music, colour correcting the image and many other processes.
